Today was great weather, sunny, a light offshore breeze and a high of 75F (24C). We started out with a beach walk to the east (to the Gulf State Park) which had a lot fewer people to contend with than our walk the previous day. You can see the difference in the photos taken from the fishing pier looking east .....
and west......
The State Park Beach featured sand dunes rather than high rise condos....
That's a Willett .....
We intended to go for a walk on the fishing pier but discovered that it cost $2 to walk to the end but we were in our swimwear with no money. We will have to come back for sunset some other day.
In the afternoon, we got on the bikes and rode to the Gulf State Park where they have 15 miles of paved bile trails through the backcountry. A very nice trail system.
We returned to the condo and retreated to the beach for some reading time and a cold beer. We did venture into the water to cool off and I can report that the gulf waters here are not as warm as in Naples. More like Lake Ontario in July.
After sunset, we were treated to a full moon rising on the Bayou .....
